Solargraphy Isolation project

Solargraphy Isolation project

Due to the current situation, the build on the new darkroom has been put on hold until its safe to continue. In the meantime, we want to remain active in the community and here on social media, so we are proposing a little project for people

The wait is over!

Come join us on Friday 8th December 2017 to celebrate the formal opening of our new community darkroom. After months of work, enormous effort by Lo-Fi members and support from Braunstone Park and Rowley Fields community ward funding and also Westcotes community ward funding, we are ready to celebrate its completion. Will will also be launching our new education program for 2018 supported using public funding by National Lottery through Arts Council England.

See a working darkroom in action, view some of our previous group exhibitions, have your picture taken with our popular Kamra-e-Faoree (Afghan box camera) and enjoy the musical experience that is Rich Myoptik. His double gramophone gambit is a particular joy to behold, fusing his radio voice with classic 78s from a bygone age where photography was a thing of miraculous proportions, as indeed were the cloaks and the penny farthings…
